Disclosures
The short version of how this works. Last updated 11 October 2026.
Who's behind this
Bitcoin Eats the World is run by Josh, an independent creator. No company, exchange or project owns it or tells it what to say.
How it makes money
- Affiliate links. Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are labelled "(affiliate)". I only recommend things I'd recommend anyway, and an affiliate deal never changes what I say about a product.
- Sponsors. Sponsored content is clearly labelled "Sponsored". Sponsors don't get to edit anything else.
- Paid clipping campaigns. Some short clips are made for paid clipping campaigns, where the campaign pays per view. They're labelled "Paid campaign" or carry the platform's paid-partnership label. Opinions in those clips belong to the people speaking.
Do I own bitcoin?
Yes, I own some bitcoin, so you should assume I benefit if its price rises. I won't share amounts.
Byte is AI
Byte, the orange ₿ who narrates our videos, is an AI character: animated by computer, with a synthetic voice. The scripts are written and checked by a human, and Byte's voice is generated from Josh's own reading. Videos with Byte are labelled as AI on every platform.
How we handle the numbers
- Every number has a source, and figures are "as reported at the time".
- Charts use fixed, stated time windows, never a hand-picked start date, and show the crashes as well as the trend.
- Anything about the past is history, not a forecast.
Mistakes
If I get something wrong, I'll fix it and say so in the next Weekly Bite. Spotted one? Reply to any Weekly Bite email.
Watch out for scams
I will never DM you asking for money, offering "investment opportunities", or asking for your recovery phrase. Anyone who does is not me. Report them and block them.
